Silk Evening Bag, ca. 1950
A black silk evening bag by À la Reine des Fées, Paris, dating to circa 1950. This is the kind of piece that seems to have slipped directly out of a George Hoyningen-Huene image.
The bag is distinguished by its sculptural clasp, set with imitation stones in the style of black onyx, emerald, and diamond.
